HGA has an excellent opportunity in our downtown Milwaukee office for an interior design or interior architecture student who wishes to gain hands-on experience in an architectural/engineering/interior design environment beginning on or before January 7, 2019 thru May 15, 2019, some flexibility is available. This is a paid position with an anticipated time commitment of 16 hours per week.
Responsibilities will include working closely with design team members on specific projects with the potential to be involved in a wide range of project-related work including assisting designers with space planning, interior detailing, 3D modeling, finish and material selections and research, preparation of presentation materials and boards and maintaining the resource library. Project types include corporate, healthcare, higher education, performing arts, museums and public libraries.
Requirements: Must have completed two years of a 4+-year interior design or interior architecture program, preferably CIDA accredited. Students must also have working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), 3-D software (Rhino, SketchUp, 3ds Max, etc.), and CorelDRAW. Minimum GPA of 3.5 required.
